Brand, Anew: Transforming the Marquis Health Identity from the Inside Out
Healthcare
the challenge
One of the foremost senior care brands in the U.S., Marquis Health has earned a reputation as an industry leader and innovator synonymous with excellence in everything they do.
But from a branding perspective, that level of sophistication and consistency wasn’t coming through. Each facility had its own look, tone, and messaging, which resulted in a lack of cohesion, warmth, and scalability across the network.
what was their next?
As their footprint and services continued to expand, they needed a brand system that could:
• Create consistency across dozens of properties and departments
• Elevate perception of care without leaning on cold clinical tropes
• Speak to patients, families, staff, and referral partners - each of whom had a different relationship to the brand
Most SNF brands talk about “progressive care”, or “regain independence” - verbiage with zero differentiation.
What we realized was that no one was focusing on the single most important reason why someone would send themselves or a loved one to a SNF:
Transformation
the process
the insight
Every resident at a Marquis facility or community came at a sensitive juncture in their lives - whether in need of care, recuperation, or beginning a new chapter - and each time, a transformation took place.
In a world where care is ever-evolving, Marquis stands for transformation: transforming how people think about care, how care is delivered, the lives of those receiving it, and even the minutiae others overlook.
Or, in another word: Anew
the brand
A rich, elevated color palette helped distinguish the brand from its colder, clinical peers, while custom iconography and illustrations brought approachability to materials across every facility and department.
the results
Branded anew, the system rolled out successfully across all facilities, bringing visual and verbal consistency without losing local nuance. Externally, Marquis now looks and feels like the leader it has always been. Internally, the brand is no longer just recognized, but embraced.
