Practical Pointers
Achieving wellness and making it stick is primarily about removing obstacles that prevent you from being healthy, rather than adding new things into your life.
Don’t fall into the trap of taking on too much; you might expect to exercise seven days a week, but unrealistic goals lead to quitting. Start with something realistic and, if you want, build up from there.
Shortcuts to fitness just don’t work. Real results are the impact of a lot of inputs - like managing your diet and maintaining your step count -over time. It doesn’t happen overnight, but it works.
Don’t create a business culture where your employees’ health declines. Be the kind of boss who develops an environment where the people who work for you know that you care about them and their wellness.
Good leadership starts with managing yourself. If the leader doesn’t practice what he preaches, your attempts at corporate change will fall flat.
